We built the Announcement Bar System from the ground up as a custom WordPress plugin, giving the client a fully controllable promotional banner that appears directly below the site header — managed entirely from a dedicated admin dashboard without touching code. The build includes global on/off control with a WYSIWYG editor, per-page overrides with three behaviour modes (follow global, force disable, or custom content), and a complete styling suite covering font family, font size, font weight, link colours, hover styles, and background colours. The result is a lightweight, CLS-safe banner with zero third-party dependencies, a shortcode fallback for legacy themes, and a position toggle to place the bar above or below the header.
